🫂 The next session of Chronic Illness and Long Covid Support Group will be Thursday September 10th from 5:30pm-7:30pm PT with Chanelle! Navigating everything that comes with chronic illness can be difficult - from managing symptoms to experiencing grief over missing your pre-illness life. This is a peer support space where we can share our feelings about living with any chronic/long-term illness, including long COVID, during an ongoing pandemic. RSVP here!
✍🏽 Are you an aspiring writer? Come join The Storytellers' Anthology which is every other Saturday at 1pm PT (next session is September 12th), hosted by Louis! This group is created for writers who want feedback and constructive criticism on their unpublished literary works, especially for those looking to publish their piece, but just need an extra pair of eyes and encouragement. 📝 Saturday September 19th at 12pm PT join Boba for Rooted, a fun and relaxed monthly space to explore a variety of poetic forms and styles. Think of this more like an informal poetry club / co-learning space. While there will be some prepared materials and prompts, this will be a much more collaborative space: we’ll learn from and celebrate each another’s experiences, perspectives, knowledge, questions, and creative instincts. Each "session" will have a short reflective groundings/meditation, followed by exploring some texts, time to write, and a no-pressure opportunity to share our writing. (Would love to have an optional ability to create a mini Garden anthology that could live on an internal padlet as example.) RSVP here

🍨 The Out of Office Fund is Off Worque’s microgrant program created to support creatives, entrepreneurs, and community builders with the financial freedom to step away, reset, and recharge. This fall, we’re awarding three $500 microgrants to help individuals take a meaningful Day Off Worque, a day dedicated to rest, creativity, joy, and reconnecting with themselves. 💵 The Hodder Fellowship will be given to artists and writers of exceptional promise to pursue independent projects at Princeton University during the academic year. Potential Hodder Fellows are composers, choreographers, performance artists, visual artists, writers, translators, or other kinds of artists or humanists who have “much more than ordinary intellectual and literary gifts”; they are selected more “for promise than for performance.” Given the strength of the applicant pool, most successful Fellows have published a first book or have similar achievements in their own fields; the Hodder is designed to provide Fellows with the “studious leisure” to undertake significant new work. This can include rapid response mobilizations, healing justice work, conflict resolution/conflict transformation, community accountability, mutual aid, direct actions, emergency safety, security, and defense needs, and more. This fund prioritizes groups and organizations who are experiencing an unanticipated incident. Apply by September 8th to be considered for this cycle, or October 6th for the next!

We strive to advance the interconnected goals of racial, gender, queer, and disability justice and an inclusive, fully representative democracy. They are seeking a Piper Fund Program Officer. The Piper Fund Program Officer, Right to Protest leads Piper Fund and Piper Action Fund's work to protect freedom of assembly and dissent. The Program Officer builds and maintains significant expertise about the field, including monitoring trends in state and federal attempts to restrict the right to protest and dissent, strategic responses of state and national groups, and fostering relationships with key players, grantees, funders, and other leaders at both national and local levels.
