🦻🏽 Disabled communities have always been part of movement justice legacies. Yet, work accountable to and rooted in disabled communities towards collective liberation has been underfunded or entirely left out of grant funding priorities. To address this gap, Disability Frontlines Fund (DFF) focuses on directly resourcing organizations, groups, and individuals working within the frontlines of disability justice organizing (you can find the 10 defining principles for disability justice here). We understand frontlines as a way to call in and honor the history of resistance that is deeply central within disability justice as a framework, a politic, and a practice. This includes collective care and access, mutual aid, and community self-determination informed by an intersectional praxis. We fund organizations, groups, and individuals across the United States, Puerto Rico, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and American Samoa. Apply ASAP.
🌍 The Grassroots Mobilization Fund (GMF) aims to provide low-barrier support to LGBTQI+ grassroots, community-based organizations to provide a range of services and programs tailored to the local needs of the LGBTQI+ people in their region. Through this fund, a select number of organizations can receive a grant of up to $10,000 USD for projects of up to 1 year in duration. Applications are accepted online through multiple rounds held throughout the year, and are open to individuals from any country where LGBTQI+ community members are at risk. The next round is open from today at 5pm ET until July 31st!
