As many of you know, the renowned disability justice scholar and activist, Alice Wong has passed. We are sending so much love to everyone in our community that is grieving the fierceness that Alice brought to community and to so much of our understanding of what justice can look like.

Tomorrow is Trans Day of Resilience! As we mourn those we have lost, and fight like hell for the living, we hope that all Trans folks find some places of rest and connection! On Sunday, November 23rd at 2pm PT, we'll be hosting a Trans Meetup led by J Mase. RSVP here

For those that attended Sunday Self-Care: Yoga Nidra ๐ŸŒ™ w/ Deeda & Groovy, as follow-up, they share the Grounding Deep Relaxation Practice by Tracee Stanley & Free recordings from the Yoga Nidra Network (including a practice for COVID support.) They'll be doing more Sunday Self-Care in the future, so be on the lookout! 

Finally, on the National Day of Mourning (Thursday, November 27th, at 8:15am PT), ze (they/elle) will be leading us through a ceremonial gathering that will center Indigenous/Native American history as well as reflect and connect on how we divest from harmful history & traditions, decolonize our holiday practices, and relationship to grief and mourning. Gutiรฉrrez, LMFT (and the companion workbook). The group will offer community support for addressing systemic, intergenerational, and attachment trauma through therapeutic practices. ๐Ÿ‚ Led by ze (they/elle), our Garden Community will again gather in real-time on the morning of โ€œThanksgivingโ€ to recognize National Day of Mourning (NDOM) on Thursday, November 27th, at 8:15am PT with a 10 min arrival grace period.

Our ceremonial gathering will center Indigenous/Native American history, reflect and connect on how we divest from harmful history & traditions, decolonize our holiday practices, and relationship to grief and mourning. Afterwards fellow Gardeners are welcome to watch the livestream together of the UAINE NDOM event taking place where the pilgrims were stated to first step on as they invaded and settled on wampanoag land, colonially known today as Cole's Hill (above Plymouth Rock), Plymouth, MA.

๐ŸงŒ Join Gata for a Shrek Movie Marathon starting at 12pm PT Saturday December 6th, where weโ€™ll go through all the hilarious, corny, and action-packed films that made Shrek, Donkey, and Fiona unforgettable. ๐Ÿซ‚ The next session of Chronic Illness and Long Covid Support Group will be Thursday November 20th from 5:30pm-7:30pm PT with Chanelle! Navigating everything that comes with chronic illness can be difficult - from managing symptoms to experiencing grief over missing your pre-illness life. This is a peer support space where we can share our feelings about living with any chronic/long-term illness, including long COVID, during an ongoing pandemic. RSVP here!

Each Social Hour will feature a 15-30 min rant// talk// presentation// performance from a Garden member on a subject of their choosing as well as time for folks to meet other members in a casual hang out space with games and activities.
